Community Literacy Centers (CLC) is excited to share our signature gala, Private Reserve on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel as we celebrate our continued efforts to support adult literacy in the Oklahoma City Metro area.

New this year... an exclusive tequila tasting and south of the border entertainment! As with fine wine, quality tequila is a drink to be savored. Executive Chef Gaetan Croisier, of the Skirvin Hotel will pair each tequila with delicious cuisines from the selected regions. Funding from the event will help provide instructors with curriculum materials and support Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes throughout the metro area.

About Us

Community Literacy Centers, Inc. (CLC) was established in 1987 as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to teaching adults to read. The founding members of CLC recognized the correlation between illiteracy and many of the social problems in our community; crime, poverty, health issues, and ignorance. Since its inception, CLC has helped more than 38,000 individuals. CLC also provides professional development for our teachers and tutor training for volunteers.

CLC is a place where adults learn to read in a safe, welcoming environment. For many adults, CLC provides a second chance at life and opens new doors of opportunity.

Our vision is to change lives by increasing awareness of the benefits of a more literate community and providing a welcoming environment where every adult who wants to read has an opportunity to learn.
